Daping Duck Farm Wastewater Treatment Project

The Daping Duck Farm Wastewater Treatment Project is designed to treat wastewater from large-scale duck farming operations, with a treatment capacity of 270 m³/d. Compared with typical livestock wastewater, duck farm wastewater is more complex, characterized by extremely high organic load, ammonia concentration, and solid content, posing significant challenges to treatment processes.

The project adopts a multi-stage treatment process, focusing on the efficient removal of suspended solids such as feathers and particulate matter in the pretreatment stage. This significantly reduces the operational burden on downstream biological treatment systems and ensures stable overall performance.

Through years of operation and continuous optimization, anammox bacteria have developed within the biological system, enabling highly efficient nitrogen removal. This significantly reduces ammonia levels while lowering operating costs, providing both environmental and economic benefits.

The treated effluent complies with the Grade I discharge standard under the Guangdong Provincial Water Pollutant Discharge Limits, with COD consistently maintained below 70 mg/L, allowing for direct discharge into nearby water bodies.
