Suixi Caolang Fattening Farm Sewage Treatment Project

The Suixi Caolang Finishing Farm Wastewater Treatment Project is designed to serve a livestock facility with approximately 46,000 pigs, with a wastewater treatment capacity of 480 m³/d. The system primarily adopts a combined process of anaerobic treatment and a two-stage A/O biological system, ensuring stable compliance with discharge standards.

To enhance nitrogen removal performance, Yikang Eco implemented a series of optimization measures, including biological enhancement, carbon source dosing, and an integrated eco-pond system. These technologies effectively strengthen the denitrification process, enabling the effluent total nitrogen to be consistently controlled below 70 mg/L, meeting contractual requirements.

A key feature of this project is the application of a grass-based ecological co-treatment pond. Aquatic plants with well-developed root systems form a complex ecological network through natural biological interactions. This system enhances the absorption, adsorption, and biodegradation of nitrogen pollutants, while also removing colloidal substances, inert matter, and color from the wastewater.

In addition, the ecological pond helps buffer fluctuations in water quality and flow, reducing the demand for advanced oxidation chemicals and improving overall system stability. The integration of the eco-pond significantly enhances total nitrogen removal efficiency while contributing to cost-effective and sustainable operation.

The project demonstrates Yikang Eco's ability to combine conventional biological treatment with ecological engineering solutions, providing a reliable and innovative approach to livestock wastewater management.
