Yikang Eco's subsidiary, Funeng Energy, has achieved a major milestone in the Fuchuan Livestock Waste-to-Resource Project in Hezhou, Guangxi. The successful completion of two 9,011 m³ anaerobic digestion tanks marks the transition of the project into the equipment installation and commissioning phase.
As Yikang Eco's first integrated biomethane project covering investment, construction, and operation, the project utilizes livestock manure from local farming operations within the Wens Group ecosystem. Through a process of centralized collection, anaerobic digestion, and conversion into biomethane and organic fertilizer, it establishes a regional circular resource utilization system.
Once operational, the project will process approximately 255,500 tons of pig manure annually, producing about 7.85 million m³ of biogas and 3.63 million m³ of purified biomethane. In addition, it will generate around 10,000 tons of organic fertilizer and return over 220,000 tons of digestate to farmland each year.
This project represents a shift from traditional waste treatment to value-added resource utilization, enhancing environmental performance while generating renewable energy. It also strengthens Wens Group's ESG capabilities and reduces environmental management costs for farming operations.
Funeng Energy will continue to accelerate the remaining construction and commissioning work, aiming to bring the project into operation as soon as possible and establish it as a benchmark for regional circular agriculture and clean energy development.
