Yikang air flotation equipment combines coagulation, microbubble flotation and sludge removal in a compact system for rapid solid–liquid separation. A shallow-tank, near-zero-velocity design reduces hydraulic disturbance and keeps separation stable, while the efficient dissolved-air system produces dense microbubbles that attach to suspended solids, oils and colored colloids. Typical hydraulic retention is only 3–5 minutes, with high surface loading and strong resistance to changes in flow or pollutant concentration. Modular construction supports convenient transport, installation and relocation, and multiple material options are available for corrosive operating environments.

Raw water is pumped into the central inlet and mixed with dissolved-air water and treatment chemicals. The distribution system moves opposite to the outlet flow, creating a near-zero-velocity separation zone. Microbubbles attach to flocs and lift them to the surface, where the skimming system removes the concentrated float sludge. Clarified water is collected below, while settled solids can be discharged from the tank bottom.
Installation Guidance
Confirm the design flow, influent quality, chemical dosing requirements and discharge target before selecting the model.
Provide a level foundation or structural support sized for the operating load stated in the parameter workbook.
Connect inlet, outlet, sludge, dissolved-air, chemical dosing, drainage and electrical interfaces according to the final engineering drawing.
Verify rotation direction, lubrication, valves, liquid level control, safety guards and emergency stops before wet commissioning.
Start with clean-water testing, then introduce wastewater gradually and optimize coagulant and polymer dosage.
Fast 3–5 minute hydraulic retention with high surface loading.
Near-zero-velocity separation minimizes disturbance and improves effluent stability.
Dense microbubbles support efficient removal of suspended solids, oil and color.
Automatic level adjustment provides a broad operating-flow range.
Compact, modular construction reduces footprint and simplifies transport and relocation.
High-solids float sludge and low-maintenance skimming help reduce operating labor.

Air Flotation Principle
A large quantity of microbubbles is introduced into wastewater to form a three-phase mixture of water, air and removable matter. Interfacial tension, bubble buoyancy and hydrostatic pressure differences promote attachment between the bubbles and fine suspended particles. Because the combined floc–bubble agglomerates are less dense than water, they rise to the surface and can be removed as float sludge.
Shallow-Tank and Near-Zero-Velocity Principle
The Yikang LM-S series integrates flocculation, flotation and bottom sludge removal. Raw water, dissolved-air water and chemicals are mixed before distribution across the separation tank. The distributor travels opposite to the water-flow direction at a matching speed, creating a near-zero-velocity condition. This minimizes disturbance, shortens the bubble travel distance and supports rapid, stable separation.
System Process
Wastewater and coagulant enter the mixing and flocculation stage.
Dissolved-air water releases fine bubbles that attach to flocs.
Float sludge rises and is collected by the surface skimming system.
Clarified water is collected for reuse or discharge.
Bottom solids and float sludge are routed to the sludge-treatment system.
