The wastewater treatment project serves the South China production base of Wens Jiawei Food, a major prepared food manufacturing facility. The factory generates a large volume of complex wastewater during production, containing high concentrations of grease, salt, residual ingredients, and suspended pollutants such as blood, hair, and meat scraps. Rich in macromolecular organic substances such as proteins and fats, the wastewater has a high discharge volume and is difficult to treat, posing significant challenges to environmental management.
The project is designed with a daily wastewater treatment capacity of 800 m³/d and adopts a mature combined process of physical-chemical pretreatment, hydrolytic acidification, and aerobic biochemical treatment. The effluent quality complies with the Grade III standard of Phase II under Guangdong’s local water pollutant discharge limits. In the pretreatment stage, automatic screens and oil separators effectively remove large suspended solids and grease, helping stabilize subsequent treatment processes. The hydrolytic acidification and AO biochemical process further break down refractory macromolecular organics into more biodegradable small-molecule substances, significantly improving wastewater biodegradability and treatment efficiency.
In addition, the pretreatment facilities are equipped with sealed covers and ventilation systems. Odor generated during treatment is collected and purified to reduce air pollution. Undertaken by Juncheng Herui, the project supports the green and low-carbon development of the prepared food industry, helping balance large-scale food production with environmental protection.
