Wens Group Dairy Tiantang Cattle Farm Wastewater Treatment Project

The Wens Dairy Tiantang Farm Wastewater Treatment Project is designed to treat wastewater generated from large-scale dairy farming operations. With a treatment capacity of 650 m³/d, the system handles high-strength wastewater containing organic matter, suspended solids, and nutrients.

Considering the limited land availability for resource reuse, the project adopts a discharge-oriented treatment approach. The process is based on multi-stage solid-liquid separation combined with a two-stage A/O biological system, ensuring efficient pollutant removal and stable compliance with discharge standards.

One of the major challenges of this project lies in the extremely high influent pollutant concentrations, with COD levels reaching up to 50,000 mg/L. Despite such conditions, the system achieves a COD removal efficiency of over 99.8%, demonstrating outstanding treatment performance and process stability.

The treated effluent meets the Class I discharge standard under the Guangdong Provincial Water Pollutant Discharge Standard (DB44/26-2001), with key indicators including COD ≤ 70 mg/L, BOD₅ ≤ 20 mg/L, SS ≤ 60 mg/L, NH₄⁺-N ≤ 10 mg/L, and TP ≤ 0.5 mg/L.

Through optimized process design and stable system operation, the project effectively addresses the environmental challenges associated with dairy wastewater. It provides a reliable and high-performance solution for farms facing strict discharge requirements, especially in areas with limited land resources.
