The CR Power Wuchang Lalin 8MW Biomass Biogas CHP Project is a large-scale straw-based biogas project developed in Northeast China. The project uses dry corn straw and rice straw as the main feedstocks, each accounting for approximately 50% of the total input.
Designed with a total installed capacity of 8MW, the project is constructed in two phases, with 4MW for each phase. It is designed to consume approximately 260 tons of straw per day and produce around 80,000 m³ of biogas per day. The project adopts multiple CSTR anaerobic reactors and demonstrates engineering capability in dry straw pretreatment, high-solids anaerobic digestion and stable biogas production.
As a representative project for dry straw resource utilization, it provides practical experience for converting agricultural residues into renewable energy and supports the development of biomass-based circular economy.
